This is an idea I've loved the thought of for a few years, now I have a place to write about it
So, the idea is that because military assets are often deployed to assist in disaster relief, it is decided to form an international organisation using aircraft usually employed by the military to take over this task.
Still not 100% sure this is my complete list but it's what I've come up with so far:
4x C-17A Globemaster III - $872,000,000 - Heavy airlift for aid and transport
8x C-130J Super Hercules - $538,400,000- same as above but with more capability to get into sites without many facilities
16x Boeing CH-47F Chinook - $616,800,000 - heavy airlift helicopter, used for transport into areas with no runway, aid drops, underslung loads and evacuation
24x Bell UH-1Y Super Huey - $628,800,000 - multirole helicopter
6x General Atomics MQ-1 Predator XP - $24,180,000 - medium altitude reconaissance with FLIR and video cameras
100x Boeing Insitu ScanEagle - $80,000,000 - 25 packages (4 aircraft, 1 ground station, 1 video terminal + launch/recovery system each) Used for tactical reconaissance with FLIR/Video cameras. Requires no runway and can be deployed via ship or by ground personnel
2x Embraer R-99B - $160,000,000 - High altitude reconaissance with synthetic aperture radar, also used to control other assets in the area (kind of an 'eye in the sky')
This would total to just under 3 billion US dollars. This is actually a reasonable cost considering the intended use and that it is an international force.
