CARGOLUX MAINTENANCE CENTRE. The maintenance centre comprises a full-height double hangar 200 metres long by 98 metres deep (a footprint of almost 20,000 m2), bordered on the south by the workshops (7000 m2) and offices (3300 m2). Two identical bays constitute the northern facade through which the planes enter, nose-first or tail-first. The hangar enables maintenance of Boeing 747-type aircraft for routine testing of types A - very short - and C - a week and more – in order to test most components and, if required, to replace some. Each half of the hangar can accommodate a Boeing 747 or several smaller aircraft. Its dimensions can also accommodate the Airbus A380 and the Antonov 225, enabling future diversification of this maintenance centre.
